Based on the book of the same name by the unique and brilliant writer, Kate A. Hardy, this 5x’60 /10x’30 Original Drama Series with multi-season potential is set in the year 2072, where a crumbling London – now called LONDONIA – lies in the shadow of a bygone civilization following the complete collapse of worldwide internet systems (The Final Curtain). With consumerism long dead, society has reverted to a barter-based existence.
In the ruins of this once great city, HOXTON, a feisty and resourceful “finder” – who knows nothing of her past having woken on a park bench in Hoxton Square with no memory of who she is or why she is there and with just a metal tag around her neck bearing the word HOXTON, which she assumes must be her name – makes her living salvaging remnants of the past for those who can pay. Living in an abandoned church in Shoreditch with her loyal horse Kafka and two Great Hounds, HOXTON must navigate a world of lawless scavengers, ruthless gangs, black-market traders, unpredictable weather, and the looming influence of The Cincture, a walled off city-state where the last vestiges of the old elite hoard wealth and technology. But when a seemingly routine job leads to a discovery tied to her own forgotten past, HOXTON is thrust into a dangerous quest for truth …. one from which, she will emerge forever changed.
